I'm very glad to hear that! I've been skipping the fabric softeners for years because I don't like the smell and I'm too cheap to buy them!

Skip them- esp the conventional brands. Too many chemicals and really strong fragrances. If you have to use a fabric softeners in the winter because of static cling, go for the natural ones, like the Method and Ecover choices they are soy based and generally leave out the bad chemicals.

More on why you should skip the fabric softeners.

What do you think about dryer additives? Like fabric softener, etc.?

You are no doubt the laundry master. I bought Dreft as its "specially formulated for baby clothing" and have also used Seventh Generation. I recently bought Tide because it was on sale at CVS.

And stains? I keep telling myself that they give clothing character.
