Local listings for goings-on with your babies!

kidoinfo logoI came across a great website this week, called kidoinfo. It is a site dedicated to being a resource for families in the Providence area. It lists all kinds of great information about what’s going on in the area for families, reviews and locations of parks and playgrounds, local and online resources and where to find deals.

As a transplant to Providence all the way from Massachusetts, this website has a wealth of information for parents and those still learning about what the city has to offer. This is where I’ll be coming for ideas on fun things to do with my daughter. I just hope there are sites like this for other cities around the country! If you have a family resource site you use for your city, let us know!

I have been picking up the Boston Parents’ Paper each month for their list of activities. They organize them by date and location (Metro, South, North, West), and give important information like price (if any), hours and phone numbers to call for more info. The paper is free and I pick it up at Barnes & Noble in the children’s section. As a non-Mass native, I always need ideas on new places to take the kids. Even if we don’t go to that specific event it alerts me to local farms/ museums/storyhours, etc…

They also have a website with the calendar:
