| Recently we needed to buy a car seat to go in my husband’s truck. We already own a Britax Marathon that is in my car, the one we primarily drive. I didn’t want to buy brand new, so I headed to Craigslist and found a coverless Britax Roundabout for bid. I bid $20 and it was accepted. | |

I looked on Ebay to find a cover, there were some made by Britax and quite a few custom and handmade covers for sale. With all there were to choose from I decided to go with one that would be custom made by a woman in CA. I chose hers because the price, $35 plus shipping, was more than reasonable and she is a mom trying to make a little extra money and I want to support that. I went to Joann Fabric and bought the material for $12, sent it out and 7 days later received the seat cover. The turn around was so fast, and it is beautiful, the quality is nicer than the cover the seats come with. It is a great solution if your cover is a bit beat up, or your getting a hand-me-down or used one, or if you just want to change the look. I even think it would make a nice present for some lucky baby. She only does covers for Britax Roundabout and Marathon. You can find her on Ebay Express. |

So stylish! Your baby is too cool already.
Britax car seats are pretty awesome, huh!
Hi! While it sounds like a great deal, you should never purchase a used car seat. Aftermarket covers void the warranty on the seat as well. My main concern would be the loss of flame resistant fabric. It is a shame they aren’t OK, because the custom covers are adorable!

Hi thanks for your response- I tried to research more on your comments and couldn’t find more information. I also looked on the Britax site- can you forward me a link.
Thanks
